Role description:
We are currently seeking a Senior (Functional) Delivery Consultant (FDC) in our EMEA/MEE Delivery organization to deliver software implementation services to our customers. As a Functional Delivery Consultant, you will be a subject matter expert in the SAP Fieldglass application and drive functional design consultation through a deep understanding of our customer’s business problems/ requirements, goals, and objectives. You will also present recommendations/ solutions based on industry best practices and the best use of the application and its functionalities.
Through the projects, you will engage with the Project Delivery Consultant, Project Sponsor, and various other cross-functional teams, in addition to the customer project team and third-party SAP partners. You will ensure activities and tasks are executed to plan, and any risks or issues are proactively identified, mitigated, and resolved wherever possible. You will work closely with functional and technical leads from the customer/ third partner SAP partner project teams to drive design and configuration decisions.
You will develop and maintain positive working relationships, both internally and externally.
Responsibilities:
Work with an assigned Project Delivery Consultant to present leading practice workflows to customers and respond to customer goals and objectives.
Independently lead business requirements gathering sessions and design workshops with customers and/or SAP partners. Drive design workshops through the use of consulting techniques and seek to understand customers’ business problems.
Ensure that client configuration and business requirements documents are accurate, complete, and signed off by the client.
Configure the test and production environments based on the agreed solution design; manage data uploads and conduct client demonstrations as needed.
Organize and participate in user acceptance testing/ unit testing at the customer site where required.
Drive management of an issues log, and proactively troubleshoot identified issues to resolution.
Proactively analyze, identify, communicate, and reconcile gaps in customer data while remaining aware of project milestones.
Anticipate and identify gaps in the quality or quantity of customer data and ensure data fit the formats required; complete test uploads, review error logs and resolve accordingly.
Input into test to production cutover activity planning.
Actively contribute to product knowledge through self-study, meeting attendance, and project participation.
Take accountability and responsibility for deliverables and milestones within the project and provide proactive updates to the Project Delivery Consultant.
Conduct Design Reviews to identify and mitigate potential issues before they materialize.
Take ownership to support other Project Delivery Consultants’ development by acting as a role model, providing coaching and mentoring, and proactively addressing improvement potentials.
We’re looking for:
Minimum 4 years experience in software implementation, preferably within a technology organization supporting cloud-based applications, where functional business consulting was required.
Software implementation/ consultation experience, ideally in procurement/HMX, with a proven record of having worked with customers in the Middle East.
Experience in deploying Internal and/or External Workforce Management or related Procurement processes and solutions.
Experience in outcome-driven cooperation with customer and partner subject matter experts and IT teams.
General understanding of SAPs solution portfolio.
Proficient Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, and macros; exposure to Visual Basics, Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Experience in SQL queries is desirable.
Awareness of the various internet browsers (IE, Edge, Chrome, Firefox, etc).
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Services, or equivalent.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to provide consultation to partners and customers while managing expectations.
Self-motivated to deliver efficient and effective business outcomes and ensure customer success. Ability to manage several projects in parallel.
High-quality professional standards in documentation, presentations, project approach, and ways of working.
Highly organized with strong time management and the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced culture.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Since we are an international team, we require fluent English language skills to communicate with our global teams (additional European language skills would be advantageous).
As our clients also value personality, you should have the flexibility and willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
