Job Description HBMSU UAE Vacancy:
The Purchases and Contracts Executive assist in the purchase activities and assure purchase process is centralized, maintained and carried out in a timely and efficient manner in compliance with the University purchasing policy.
Main roles & responsibilities
- Assist in the development and updating of purchase plans, policy and procedures in alignment with HBMSU objectives and in compliance with applicable law and regulations.
- Coordinate all administrative, contractual, and operational aspects of purchasing.
- Review and prepare requisitions, bid bonds, purchase orders, procurement expenses, contracts, Invoices, and other purchase related documents and assure they are in line with HBMSU purchasing policy and applicable law and regulations.
- Support relevant departments with quotations by preparing /advertising bids, publish award notices & inform the unsuccessful tenders.
- Maintain complete updated purchasing records, data and invoices in the system; ensure that all new partners are registered on the Partners Portal.
- Advise stakeholders on the requirements of ‘Standing Orders’ and the appropriate methods of supplier selection and fair competition.
- Support HBMSU revenue generation activities through creating and enabling an environment that facilitates and enhances all its processes as applicable.
- Adhere to local and externally relevant health and safety and information security laws and policies.
- As applicable liaises and coordinate with information security stand-up committee and TD to ensure effective implementation of security initiative.
Required qualification & skills
- Minimum of 2 years professional experience in a similar or related field/position.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Business Administration or any other related field from an accredited University.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Assistant/ Associate Professor in Quality Management
HBMSU is seeking to appoint a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor in the Quality Management Program (areas: Quantitative Analytics and Methods, Business Simulations, Finance, Business Intelligence, or a related field) to support the University’s mission of providing learner-centered, quality smart learning. This involves teaching and supervising effectiveness, professional development, research and scholarly/creative activities, institutional service, professional and community service, student advising and involvement, and supervisory responsibilities as assigned.
Candidates should have an international reputation in their area of specialty. A strong interest in the development and management of related courses and programs; and collaborative research activities with internal and external scholars is an added advantage. The appointee will join the School of Business and Quality Management and will be expected to be familiar with online teaching platforms and methodologies, develop content for relevant courses, work on quality research. - Teach postgraduate courses using online learning platforms and smart technologies;

Student Recruitment – (22001310)
- Contribute to developing and implementing an effective recruitment strategy and tactical plans for all potential learners with relevant key stakeholders.
- Achieve recruitment targets pre-set by the line manager in consultation with the director of Business Development.
- Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures to support the recruitment of new learners. Bring a strategic management focus by involving faculties and other stakeholders in the learner’s recruitment plan.
- Maintain regular communication with Key stakeholders and potential customers through different means such as email, telephone, SMS, etc. and ensures that their requests or wishes are addressed.
- Provide various services to attract potential learners including dispatching promotional materials in coordination with the marketing department.
- Respond to and follows up efficiently and professionally on all requests and inquiries from key potential learners through different means such as; email, telephone, SMS, etc., and ensure that these requests are closed or converted into the enrolled learner.
- Coordinate and organize professional development or social events for key stakeholders throughout the academic year.
- Work in close collaboration with the marketing and communication department to implement campaigns that increase the number of learners attending open days, open evenings, and events.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a similar or related field/position.
