About the Role
The role of Account Manager Associate calls for a rare combination of negotiation expertise, relationship management, business strategy, operational excellence, and problem-solving. A successful Account Manager Associate deeply understands our key restaurant partners to best be able to identify and improve the core business metrics for both the restaurant and Careem.
About the Team
You will get to be part of a dynamic and autonomous team from Careem veterans to new tigers who joined on a mission to build Careem Food all aligned on the same values of ownership, shooting to the moon, and being of service to customers, partners, colleagues, and captains.
What you’ll do
Key Account Management: Develop strong long-lasting relationships as the main point of contact. You are responsible for the Key restaurant partner’s engagement and satisfaction.
Growth: You are responsible for driving business growth of Accounts and improving on their commercial and operational performance
Analysis: Analyze data on accounts performance and quantify your actions. All decisions should be backed up by data to improve the performance of key accounts.
Performance Meetings: You complete merchant performance reviews monthly and draw out next month’s plans based on what was discussed.
Partner with internal teams: Work closely with internal stakeholders and supply, merchant, and customer domains to ensure meeting growth objectives.
What you’ll need
Previous experience in Account Management and Commercial roles
Excellent attention to detail, people skills, and organization skills.
Ability to create and maintain relationships
Strong problem-solving skills and comfortable analyzing data
Demonstrate experience using Microsoft Office tools and related project/program management applications to drive best practice
You must be a self-starter as we’ll look for you to manage your own time and priorities here.

Job Description Careem Vacancy:
The Partnerships team is looking for a customer-obsessed candidate with a proven ability to develop and manage high-level program initiatives. The candidate will possess strong stakeholder management skills, as well as coordination and delegation capability. An entrepreneurial mindset is a must, as a lot of the time, they will be working with a blank canvas and limited resources. The Super App Tenant Experience Manager will be part of a small, focused team that will play a huge role in shaping what Careem will look like in the medium and longer-term future.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and manage the governance model that will allow for high standards of experience delivered by partners
- Plan and create scope, deliverables, stakeholders, timelines, and priorities for new initiatives
- Work closely with product/design teams, support with delivering business targets and growth
- Analyze funnel performance, identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement, and drive issues to resolution
- Deliver the methodology to assess and evaluate partner success
- Work with other program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within Careem
- Deliver reports for management and key stakeholders
- Develop and align senior leadership on the strategy for the program and execute the initiatives to achieve the organizational objectives.
- Oversee multiple cross-functional project teams
- Develop and manage the forums that will empower the continuous improvement in the partner offering including performance, quality, and satisfaction.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Stakeholder management, time management, and organizational skills
- Excellent knowledge of performance evaluation processes
- Ability to identify and implement repeatable motions and a common framework to allow scaling of the program with limited resources.

About the team
Careem Grocery is on a mission to reinvent the way people shop for grocery, pharmacy and retail products. As an exciting new vertical within Careem (a startup within a startup), we’re in the early stages of building our product and have plenty of interesting and fundamental challenges to solve in order to achieve our ambitious growth goals in this burgeoning space.
What you’ll do
Create & Maintain delivery schedules between Distribution Center, Suppliers & Stores for inventory transfer
Ensure timely returns of all damaged, expired and non-usable items from Stores to Suppliers.
Maintain master data for all SKUs, ensuring product configurations, and phase in/ out information are accurately captured from Suppliers and reflected on internal systems.
Lead cost-optimization efforts to drive down Inventory Handling costs.
Work closely with the Operations team on effective space utilization.
What you’ll need
Successful candidates will have a passionate commitment to improving the lives of people, an insane focus on excellence and customer centricity, and a strong alignment with our core values and purpose.
At least 2+ years of experience in a supply chain role or similar. Time spent in tech, logistics, or a start-up is a plus
Bachelor in Engineering, with a focus on Supply Chain or Operations Management, is a plus.
Strong analytical capabilities, and mastery of Excel are required. Bonus points for technical ability in SQL
Grittiness. You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and address something hands-on, and you persevere when others fall away
High level of attention to detail & speed of execution, the role will require lots of daily operational follow-ups.
Strong communication skills, as you will need to communicate with all levels of Supplier & DC operation teams.
Self-starter – the ability to self-serve, investigate and get the data we require will make you much more effective in this role
